Cake

I wrote this one after my Anorexia poem, as a relief really from the harsh reality of Anorexia, and as a bit of fun.

Custard Tarts

Chocolate Cake

The ubiquitous

Cadburys Flake.

Fat and Sugar

Piled up high,

Tempting, gorgeous

To the eye.

Licking lips

And flicking tongue,

Making sure to catch

Every crumb.

On the lips

Straight to the hips.

Pass the Éclairs

They’re just like air.

Tempting colours

Tempting smells,

Fresh baked bread

And little treats

No wonder this girl

Eats and eats.
