About me

I have always read copiously, and even written the occasional poem at times of personal crisis to process my emotions. Over recent years I have experienced a nagging internal voice saying 'I want to be heard.' Thus my third career change came into being, as I began to write on a more full time basis and read my poems on open mic  in Newcastle, Durham and Manchester in 2019.

I love it and I have now even been one of the headliners at a Zoom gig,and have had several poems accepted for publication. The key lesson I have learnt is 'Own your Poems' and when you do  that, people will listen.  So if you want to write and perform, just do it and the rest will follow.
